Elections Committee Information and Application 

Position Overview: 

The ASCSU Elections Committee plays a critical role in ensuring the fair and transparent facilitation of ASCSU campaigns. Committee responsibilities include understanding and upholding the elections code, participating as voting members in violation hearings, reviewing and approving media for compliance, and approving expenditure reports. Members are expected to remain impartial and professional throughout the process. We welcome applications from students of all majors and educational backgrounds.   

Qualifications: 

  • Applicants must be impartial, unbiased students who are currently enrolled in at least one credit and pay student fees. 
  • Must not be a candidate for any elected ASCSU office during the term of service. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • Commitment to transparency and fairness. 

Term of Service: 

  • Members must commit to serving for the duration of the election cycle, including the campaigning and voting periods. 

Selection Process: 

  • Elections Committee candidates may be selected for an interview. 
  • Upon approval Elections Committee candidates will then be appointed by the Elections Manager and ratified by the ASCSU Senate. 
  • Appointments will take place prior to Spring Break.
