ASCSU Autumn Door Decorating Competition

Show your ASCSU pride, get into the fall spirit, and compete for a fall-themed prize basket! Calling all members of ASCSU to decorate their office door, cubicle wall, or a door in the place where they host office hours (e.g., College Council office, CRC office). This is a separate competition from the LSC Door Decorating competition, which ASCSU enters as one entity with our front doors!

Submit your decorated door (or equivalent) here by 11:59 on 10/31. If you have any questions, please reach out to Julia Pratt ([email protected]).

Who

The ASCSU Autumn Door Decorating Competition includes all members of the ASCSU executive, legislative, and judicial branches. Folks who share a workspace may compete as a team.

What

To be eligible to win, decorated doors/spaces must meet the following criteria:

  • ASCSU Themed – Doors should have some mention of ASCSU or information about ASCSU (e.g. the branch you represent, programs you’ve done, or legislation you’ve worked on)
  • Fall Themed – Any and all autumnal vibes are welcome!

When

The ASCSU Autumn Door Decorating Competition is open NOW and will close at 11:59pm on October 31st, 2025.

Winner(s)

A winner will be selected on November 3rd, 2025. The winner will receive a fall-themed prize basket, valued around $100. If a group submits a door together (e.g., a group of senators or officers in a shared space), they will share the prize basket! Additionally, the branch of the winner will be catalogued and hold the title of Best Decorated for the year.

Campus Updates

Ram$ for Change is a unique CSU program that combines community service with fundraising opportunities for student organizations. CSU Rams (students, faculty, and staff) are matched with local Service Providers such as community nonprofits and university departments for pre-planned service projects. These projects are designed to help you quickly create meaningful connections while making a direct impact in the local community. RSOs with SOFA accounts earn $20 per volunteer (for example, a team of 5 volunteers would earn $100 for their RSO). You can participate individually or as part of a Volunteer Team, and spots are first-come, first-served, so act fast to secure your place and commit!

Service Day Details

  • Date: Saturday, October 25
  • Time: Service projects last 3–4 hours, between 8 AM and 9 PM

Project Assignments: Projects are still being finalized. You’ll get your assignment during your Commitment Chat. If you or your team can’t commit to a specific time slot, you can indicate your availability on the form.

How to Participate

  • Volunteer Teams: One person from your team must be a Team Leader. The Team Leader needs to first complete the Online Team Leader Training and then submit a Volunteer Team Commitment Form for the team.  Reminder: submitting a Commitment Form locks your team into volunteering on October 25!
  • Individual Volunteers*: Complete our Solo Commitment Form to be matched with a project and join the fun *(funds are not distributed to solo volunteers)

Don’t miss this chance to make money for your RSO while giving back to the community. Spots are limited and go quickly.
