ASCSU Updates

ASCSU Stoles

Attention graduating seniors! If you are graduating and/or walking in a ceremony this spring, please fill out this form: Graduating Seniors Survey 2026. This survey determines your eligibility to receive an ASCSU stole and helps us keep track of who’s leaving ASCSU! Thank you for participating. If you have any questions, please contact Elisa ([email protected]).
A yellow flyer with the Accessibility Caucus Seal/Logo on top, below are the words 'SIGN THE PETITION! TO FUND PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY AT CSU' below is this link https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/funding-physical-accessibility-at-colorado-state-university/ and below that is a QR code to that link. In the bottom there is a graphic of a ramp and wheelchair user using the ramp, an automatic door opener, and an accessible parking spot.

Spring 2026 Commencement Volunteer Opportunities

We are only a few weeks away from the Spring 2026 Commencement and are working to fill over 1200 commencement support roles between May 14-17. These roles bring commencement to life as we celebrate over 5,000 graduates via 22 ceremonies. The University-wide ceremony will be hosted at Canvas Stadium on May 16 at 10:00 a.m. and college-level recognition ceremonies will take place both May 15 and 16. Would you have the opportunity to share via your office staff, students, orgs and channels information about how to volunteer for commencement? If you have availability, we invite you to sign up as a volunteer to support our graduates and their families/friends alongside us.

There’s a wide variety of ways to help support Commencement and it’s easy to sign up via our volunteer sign‑up survey. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Guest relations and wayfinding
  • Graduate lineup and ceremony support
  • Accessibility assistance
  • Venue and campus operations
  • Setup and teardown
    …and more!

We’ll host trainings once again to help set volunteers up for success as well as provide additional information via email prior to your volunteer times/roles. As always, please let me know what questions you may have – or feel free to reach out to our broader Commencement team at [email protected].

We are looking forward to welcoming new volunteers!

Spotlight Submission

This week, the front desk recognizes our amazing Assistant Director for Student Government, Julia Pratt!

Since joining ASCSU last July, Julia has made her mark on the office. Her enthusiasm for student involvement, passion for connection, quick thinking, witty humor, and creativity are just some of the things that make Julia so valuable and special. We are so grateful to have an extraordinary leader like Julia and appreciate her efforts every day. Thanks, Julia!

Each week, the Front Desk chooses to recognize a different member of ASCSU. If you would like to acknowledge somebody for their projects/accomplishments/hard work/professionalism, share with us here!
