Basic Information

Graduation is a significant milestone, and the Associated Students of Colorado State University is committed to helping you celebrate in an environmentally friendly and affordable way. At this time, the library can only offer undergraduate regalia in green, gold, and black. With that being said, we would like to note that we are accepting graduate regalia donations. The following regalia packs are available for rental from the ASCSU Graduation Gown Lending Library…

Steps for Renting Regalia

Step 1: Fill out the ASCSU Graduation Gown Lending Library form HERE or use the QR Code.

Step 2: Visit the ASCSU Office to check out a regalia pack after completing the form. You will be informed via email of the pickup windows available. Please let the Director of Environmental Affairs know if you are unable to make any of the pickup windows; you will still be able to utilize the lending library. Regalia will not be shipped. Graduates must pick up their cap, gown, and tassel in the ASCSU Office. In the fall semester, students may borrow regalia up until December 1st

Step 3: Multiple return windows will be provided via email. Please ensure to fill out the rental form with as much information as possible so we can best accommodate you.

Step 4: Regalia packs CANNOT be kept until the spring commencement ceremony if you are renting in the fall.  Regalia must be returned to the Lending Library in the timeframe provided during both fall and spring semesters.

*Please note that if the Lending Library reaches capacity of rentals, you will be directed to purchasing a regalia pack through the CSU Alumni Association, use of the Lending Library will be on a first come, first serve basis*

FAQ's

1. Can I rent regalia in the fall if I am graduating in the spring?
Yes! Students are welcome to rent regalia during either semester for photos, commencement, or
other celebrations. Please note that regalia cannot be kept from fall through spring. If you need
regalia for both semesters, you will need to complete the rental process twice.

2. When do items have to be returned?
For Fall 2025 rentals, the final return date is December 1, 2025. Each student will also receive
an individual return date in their confirmation email from the Director of Environmental Affairs,
and all items must be returned no later than the date listed there. For Spring 2026, specific return
windows (TBD) will be posted on the ASCSU website and included in confirmation emails.

3. Can I return items earlier than the date provided to me? (Fall semester)
Absolutely! Early returns are always welcome. You may return your items at any time before the
date provided in your confirmation email.

4. Do you have master’s or doctoral regalia available?
Not at this time. Currently, the program only serves undergraduate students. However, we are actively accepting                          donations of master’s regalia to expand our offerings in the future.

5. How can someone donate regalia?

Donations can be dropped off at the ASCSU Office (LSC 206) between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM,
Monday through Friday. We gladly accept gently used undergraduate and master’s regalia,
whether full sets or individual pieces (cap, gown, tassel, etc.). If you’d like to coordinate details,
feel free to contact the Director of Environmental Affairs.

6. How soon can I pick up regalia after submitting the rental form?
Please allow at least 48 hours for the Environmental Affairs department to review your request
and send a confirmation email. Same-day or next-day pickups are usually not possible, so we
recommend submitting your request early.

7. What if I only want to rent a single item instead of a full regalia set?
If you only need an individual item (such as just a cap or gown), please email the Director of
Environmental Affairs directly at [email protected] rather than
completing the full rental request form.
