Pacesetter Scholarship Application 2017

CSU students have the opportunity to apply for a $1,500 Pacesetter scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year. A Pacesetter is a student who “sets the pace” for their fellow students by excelling academically, taking leadership roles in extracurricular activities, improving their CSU community, and positively affecting the lives of those around them.  A Pacesetter lives a well-balanced life of academics, extracurricular activities, and community service while maintaining a healthy lifestyle for themselves. They serve as leader to their peers and will continue to do so past their collegiate years. If selected as Pacesetters, students will participate in the Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 13th, be recognized on the field at halftime of the Homecoming Football game on Saturday, October 14th, and receive the Albert C. Yates Scholarship.

Candidates must meet the following criteria for consideration:

  1. Be a full time student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester)
  2. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (per semester)
  3. Have undergraduate junior or senior year standing (60 credit hours or more)
  4. Have attended Colorado State University for a minimum of one year
  5. Be available Friday, October 13, 2017 for the Homecoming Parade and Saturday, October 14, 2017 for the Homecoming Football Game

Pacesetter nomination forms and Pacesetter applications must be submitted to or turned in to the ASCSU office by Wednesday, October 4, 2017 by 5:00 pm.

Selection Process:

Applications will be reviewed by the selection committee starting Thursday 10/05/17. The selection committee, made up of both students and administrators, will narrow the application pool for in-person interviews. All applicants will be notified of their status and interview time by 10/06/17. Interviews will be held from October 9th through October 12th.  Pacesetters Award winners will be notified by 5:00 p.m. on Friday October 13th, 2017.
